not sure how much help this will be to you,But my dad and i are working on a 65 impala ss as well.Frame-off restore.I think so far our biggest prob. was the cleaning of the frame. But if u are sending it in to be done then u will save alot of time and sore knuckles. As far as brake and fuel lines go, the way we did ours was kept the original ones and bought all new ones.we took the new lines and bent and matched the new lines as we were bending them by hand to the old ones works very well.I guess i could set here and give u the whole last month and a half of what we did to the frame work, but i wont, but what i can do is send some pics of what we done to it maybe that will help.

.Not sure how to add pics to this yet.Holler back at me. cya JAY!!!!!!!!

I started with a similar one a few years ago. Stripped the side chrome, added a super sport interior with repro covers, blacked the uprights in the grill, American type mags and painted it Corvette red. A rebuilt 396 and 350 turbo drop in! .60 over, a cam, headers and a 750 carb = a "Great 408"...Instant 14's in the 1/4. AND good crusin' in the 60's
You go!
