just some pictures of the streetrod project I have been working on for a while.
I have had help from a few people including Tim Hain of Tim’s Rod Shop in Pottstown, PA for the chassis and custom work and Trick Works in Telford, PA for the awesome body work.
The truck is a 1948 GMC 5-window half ton pick-up.
Before I bought it, it served it’s life as a farm truck in Hamburg, PA.
When finished the only original parts will be some of the original frame/chassis and most of the original sheet metal. Some of the modern improvements are a Heidt’s Mustang II independent front suspension, R&B leaf spring rear suspension, Ford 9” posi rear, 454 ci big block Chevy engine, TCI turbo 400 trans, Griffin aluminum radiator, ECI 4 wheel power disc brakes, Gennie shifter, Limeworks steering column and reproduction steering wheel, 3.5 inch hand made exhaust with Flowmaster mufflers, Vintage Air heater, American Racing Salt Flat Special wheels and much, much more. I am trying to keep the original look of the GMC truck, but with modern improvements.
Many thanks to Tim Hain and Trick Works for the awesome work they have done.
