About my Master Deluxe

I bought this car in pretty rough shape, but I fell in love with the 5,1/2 inch chop.
So far I have fixed all the paint, redid the motor and put on new hoops. A chronic overhearer I put in a Be Cool radiator and solved that problem. My real interest is who built this car. The guy I bought it from was a broker and I track the previous owner and the trail went dead. These pictures are a little dated and this winter work made it look brand new. If it ever warms up in Illinois I'll update the photos. If anybody know anything about this cat I would love to hear from them.

This one has Heidt's Mustang II front end and leaves on a Ford nine inch rear end. I have seen them with both Nova and Camaro front ends. As far as an 86 I just don't know dhow much modification it would take. If I had it all to do over again. I would save my money and buy a roller. It was a whole lot of work and redos just to end up with a 39 frame, These old cars have the aerodynamics of the Empire State building. And any improvement toward modern handling is going to come your suspension. Take my advice. Buy a rolling chassis, it'll save hours and hours and hours and give you a measure of safety your not going to get modifying  a seventy year old frame. If plaining on way more power then I have you need something that's going to hold up to the twist.
