About my Mercury

I found this car sitting in a field in South Central Missouri. It had sit there for a number of years. It was originally used a mail carrier car for the mail lady in that area. She sold it a person who was going to restore it. I asked him about it in 1989 and he told me that he had sent his son-in-law off to vo-tech to learn how to do mechanical and paint and body work to fix the car. The son-in-law got his daughter pregnant and ran off with another woman. He had a pregnant daughter and a 50 Merc. He said that the 50 Merc had to go. I bought it on the spot for $300. Needless to say it was a long process to get the car finished.
