Over the last 40+ years I have built a lot of Rods and Customs, but never one from scratch. I started out with a 1927/28 Dodge radiator shell and built everythig else. The frame is 2x3 with a 3" drop center and a 10" kick in the read, front end is from a Model A, modified to fit this ride, rear suspension is made from a pair of 78 Dodge wagon springs with 22" cut off the front and inverted, with 91 T Bird front shocks. The body is handbuilt 18 gauge steel and is built like a production car with floor, wll and roof braces. There is an 'V' brace from floor to roof behind the seats. The rear wall is made from 1/4" lauan mahogany with ribben mahogony veneer cover the outside. The head lights are King Bee's, side and rear lights (including laterns) are all hand made. Right now we are completing the brakes and hope to have it out this month.
